DANIEL ESTEBAN Lugo

Daniel Esteban Lugo is a first generation Mexican-American tenor from El Paso, Texas. He has performed with the Des Moines Metro Opera, the Seagle Festival, and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee spanning repertoire from Ernesto in Don Pasquale to Timothy Laughlin in Fellow Travelers. Most recently, Daniel debuted with Tri-Cities Opera where he was featured on several concerts throughout the fall and is currently covering the Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville.
Daniel will go on to make his Virginia Opera mainstage debut as a Herndon Foundation Emerging Artist. He enters the season with reprise of El Remendado in Carmen, following up with a role-study of Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte. He closes the season covering Phillip Hirschkop and the Sherrif/Judge in the world premiere of Loving V. Virginia, a new opera by Damien Geter and Jessica Murphy Moo.
